Adding candidates and bulk CV upload
Profiles reach Recruify two ways: candidates apply through the career page, or a team member adds them. This page covers the second.
Adding one candidate
- Open Candidates and choose the create action.
- Enter the full name, email address and phone number.
- Upload the CV file — PDF or Word.
- Pick the job applied for and the application source.
- Save the profile.
As soon as you save, the CV is queued for parsing and scoring. See AI CV parsing and scoring.
Set the application source while you are here. It is the field source reporting uses to compare channels — filling it in later is hard to reconcile.
Uploading several CVs at once
Use this for a batch from a careers fair, a supplier or the recruitment mailbox.
- From Candidates, or from inside a specific job, choose the bulk CV upload action.
- Drag several files into the upload area.
- Pick the job that applies to the whole batch.
- Start the upload and watch the progress of each file.
Recruify processes them one by one in the background: reading the CV, creating the profile, tagging skills and scoring against the job description.
A large batch can take a few minutes. You can close the window — the work continues and profiles appear in the list as they finish.
Duplicate profiles
When an email address or phone number matches an existing profile, Recruify flags it and warns you before creating anything. You have two options:
- Merge into the existing profile — keeps the whole history of earlier applications, evaluations and discussion;
- Create a new profile anyway — only when you have established these are two different people.
Open the existing profile and compare before deciding. See also Candidates overview.
Quality of what you upload
- Use the original PDF rather than a photo or a faint scan — the AI reads it far more accurately;
- Keep file names short and free of unusual characters;
- Do not upload documents that are not needed for the hiring decision;
- Only add profiles your organisation has a valid basis to process.
